At the age of 12, my family became passionate about international orphan care. More specifically, we became passionate about a select few children not much younger than me who had stolen our hearts while on a mission trip in Monterrey, Mexico. Their ability to smile through pain and suffering taught me resilience. But it also taught me a lesson about perspective…
“The story isn’t over yet.” I can still hear the director of the ministry repeating this mantra. This was the message we tried to instill in the hearts of the children we served, and it is a guiding principle in my life today.
After a strong career building a financial planning practice, that mantra started to ring in my ears. My story wasn’t over and it was about to take a turn. I had realized that what I loved most about building my business wasn’t the financial instruments themselves, but the stories I had the chance to be a part of and shape as my clients achieved their own financial security. Selling my practice, I shifted my attention to shaping stories at scale.
When faced with a new challenge, all your customers want to know is that there is hope…that someone understands them and can help…that their story isn’t over. As a digital marketing strategist and enthusiast, I help our clients understand how to tell their ever-evolving, far-from-over story at scale.
